Sometimes there are days when I see a design immediately, and then there are days I'm working on a project and I get to a road block It sometimes helps me to get the creative juices flowing again by stopping and doing something totally different and then go back to the project. Today is one of those days...lol.

I'm currently reading Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh. It's the second book in the Psy-Changling series (thank you Tantor Media for putting it out in audiobook!!). I'm loving Vaughn and Faith. I have quite a few more books to go in this series but I can see it becoming one of my favorite series. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

The Devil Wants A Soul

I was listening to one of my favorite books this afternoon while I was doing some house work. Karen Marie Moning's Dark Highlander. In this book the heroine says to herself many times "And all the devil really wants is a soul." That saying rang in my head all afternoon until I could sit down and create something and this is what came out.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love paranormal romances and urban fantasy books. No I mean like I REALLY LOVE THEM. I'm also an audio book junkie, so all of the books in my goodreads.com list (over on the right) were all audio books. I can easily go through 4 or 5 books in one week. I recently finished the 5th Kate Daniels novel by Ilona Andrews. If you are looking for a world to lose yourself in, this is a good place to start.

I also found out that trying to create pants where there were none is not as easy as it sounds...lol. But I think I did ok. With a bit more practice I'll prefect the process.

Well I told you that I am a professional photographer by trade. Well here is another tidbit about me. My husband is the author of "Find A Way To Make A Way: You're Either Part of the Problem, Or You're Part of the Solution". This is the second edition of his book that was published with Tate Publishing. I didn't do this design, BUT I did take the photo :o)

People always laugh when I tell them I met my husband online via Love @ AOL back in 1999. They don't laugh because it's funny, they laugh because they don't believe it. Well it's true. My sister also met her husband online. Those experiences are what inspired my this next piece titled Cafe Love.

I read a ton of romance books of many sub-genres. My favorites right now are paranormal romances with angels, demons, vampires, shifters, etc. There is just something damn sexy about those sexy tortured bad boys of the paranormal world that just flat out does it for me.

Necromancer & The Orphan

Have you ever had an idea in your head and when you begin working on it you are just in the zone? And when it's all done it came out better than you expected? Well that's how I feel about The Necromancer and The Orphan. I really enjoyed spending the hours it took me to create these two pieces. I'm putting the finishing touches on a few more pieces then I'll post those too.

Hi There!!

Well this is my first post while wearing my graphic artist hat. I'm actually a photographer by trade but I love love LOVE graphic art. I started off with simple designs for my photography business, then I moved to doing more complex stuff for fun, now I'm offering design work for book and cd covers. This is an exciting time for me because I honestly couldn't think of anything I'd rather do. My photography and my designs allow me to live in my imagination where there are little to no limits.
