Enhanced by Courtney Farrell

Michelle was born into the Institute’s eugenics program, where doctors breed people like livestock. One man decides which children grow up, and which disappear. Culls are dumped in the slum outside Institute walls, and those kids never come back. Michelle has survived every purge, and she’s about to win a luxurious life as a breeder. When her brother and her boyfriend are both mysteriously culled, despite their high scores, she goes over the wall to find them. Alone in the ghetto, she’s in trouble until handsome, streetwise Dillon stakes a claim to her. She is mortified, because the Enhanced think Norms are practically animals. But the doctor is using the missing boys in a twisted experiment, and she needs Dillon’s help to stop him. Michelle must rescue the boys, but a plague is spreading, the doctor is after her, and Dillon isn’t thrilled to help her find her lost boyfriend.

Sweet Deception by Nancy Kay

Ten years ago their lives took separate paths. Delilah sought a career in New York City; Kevin entered the stare police academy, but when Delilah Wyeth inherits Cocoa Treats Chocolate, the cool city advertising exec returns to their hometown and complicates the life of State Police Corporal Kevin McClain.

Lilah knows if she defies her smooth talking supervisor she may tumble off the precarious ladder she's worked so hard to climb. Her self-esteem and self-respect hang in the balance. The confrontation is put on hold though, when Lilah rushes home for her beloved grandmother's funeral and discovers she's inherited Gram's chocolate shop.

Kevin admires the cool, professional woman Lilah's become, but he misses the feisty girl he once knew and wants to know why fear lurks in her gorgeous eyes. Then Lilah's fear explodes into reality, and more than duty drives Kevin as he races to save her from her former boss's outraged rejection.

As Delilah fights for her life, her career choice becomes crystal clear, but can she convince Corporal McClain he deserves more in life than a badge and a gun?

AMETHYST FLAMES by Trinity Blacio

Kayla Dunsmore has had her share of heartache. Her husband turned out to be an abusive jerk, she survived cancer, and her family has been ripped from her life by a tragic accident. Now, she's just tired of fighting to survive and is ready for a stroke of good luck. Unfortunately, it's not to be. The last straw comes when, once again, the doctor tells her the grim news: the cancer is back. Not only is it back, but it will take a radical treatment for any hope of survival.

Zarth, an advisor to the goddess Freya, is by himself, the way he likes it. His kind, the Phooka, don't do well in numbers. But the moment he sees Kayla, Zarth doesn't want to be alone anymore. And that's a problem because, according to Freya, the only way to save her is to take her to the planet Amethyst Flames.

The planet is fraught with danger for Kayla, and to compound the issue, Freya tells them that Zarth must share Kayla with his brother Tirian.

Can Kayla handle the transition to a new planet and a new lifestyle? Can Zarth and Tirian learn to share? Or will they burn up in Amethyst Flames?
