After I spent the entire weekend working I decided to take today off and play. This is my good friend Kenny. You may recognize him for the two previous pieces I did titled Warrior. Well as I was going through his stock images (I love the fact that I can shoot my own stock if needed...lol.) and I saw this pose. I new I wanted to do something with it but nothing came to mind. This morning I went through my stock folder again and decided to just play with it. I loved the way it turned out and Kenny didn't believe that was him at first...lol.

I love finished the cover for the print release of Breathe by YA author Abbi Glines. It is really sweet and I can't wait to read it and see it on my shelf. The book is already released as an e-book, but according to Abbi, the print edition will have a few changes. I say get them both and then compare!!

I love it when I get a great stock models in my studio. I often find stock images lacking in some way so it's great to get the exact poses I want as well as expression. Today my model knew how to pose and that made my job so much easier.

I LOVE it when I get to shoot stock images. That way I can get the pose I want and the facial expression I want. I was doing the happy dance when this feisty little red head came to my studio today to shoot stock images. I seriously could not wait to jump into these images when we were done. She did an awesome job!! I'm so happy with how they turned out!!

and it's always nice to show the before picture sometimes. It really puts into perspective how much work really goes into book covers, art pieces, and all things creative...

What's playing on my ipod? Nothing!! Big surprise I know, but I am listening to two little boys cry in their respective rooms if that counts for anyting.
I finished my cover for today pretty early and did some running around since AJ, my oldest boy, goes back to school next Tuesday (hallelujah!!) so when I got some quieter than usual time I took advantage of it and played around with this dangerous beauty...
